North Laine Brewhouse, Brighton
A pub and microbrewery that’s fun, without compromising on quality
The cavernous North Laine Brewhouse is perfect for big groups, with its beer hall offering space for even the largest gang of friends.
The front section has a characterful traditional feel. Towards the back things take on a playful and colourful sense of humour.
The long bar boasts cask options and a multitude of taps with an emphasis on craft keg beer, some sourced incredibly locally, as the shiny tanks behind the bar are not just for show. The working microbrewery here creates small runs of experimental concoctions dreamed up by the great Laine Brew Co team, only available here at the bar and at selected Laine pubs. The team don’t compromise on the quality of beer served.
Events at North Laine Brewhouse include two quiz nights, ping pong, DJs, a Saturday bottomless brunch and axe throwing. You feel this selection probably targets a younger crowd.
The menu is a modern twist on pub grub: burgers, sharing plates and wings. But on Sundays it’s back to the tried-and-true with excellent roasts, with veggie and vegan varieties available – all served from the built-in ice cream van kitchen, naturally.
