The Hare and Hounds Brighton

A popular pub with loads of space and a great beer selection

As you enter through the corner doors at The Hare and Hounds Brighton there’s a real feeling of open-plan space here.

A wide central bar is surrounded a variety of padded communal seating and a combination of period features, industrial lighting and a vast amount of bare brickwork. The garden is nicely decked, and boothed in a way that makes excellent use of a tight space.

There is an impressive number of taps on offer alongside three cask pumps, and plenty of lager and cider options to boot. The rotating craft beer offerings are excellent as well, though the prices can sting with some guest beers.

The kitchen has operated many different menus over recent years but now seems to be quite traditional, with crowd-pleasing big and small plates, ciabattas and burgers. The Sunday roasts here are pretty reliable.

The bartenders at The Hare and Hounds seem to like their 1990s/2000s indie and rock hits. And if that’s not enough entertainment, there are also regular DJs, retro gaming and live music on the calendar.
