A pub merging classic and contemporary with cask beers and a veggie-only menu
5 Trafalgar Street
The Prince George Brighton
A place to find cask and calm seclusion in the North Laine
The Prince George is a fun but relaxed pub, modern but restrained in the decoration, and very accommodating with various nooks and crannies to find seclusion for yourself or in a group.
The large dark bar runs along the back wall, and there’s loads of standing and perching space in the main bar room. A mix of padded wall seating, tables and cosily lit corners fan out from there, and through the back is a covered patio space with benches and a booth that is popular whatever the weather.
The six cask options are generous and well rotated. Craft keg options are more limited and less adventurous, but there are some decent lager options as well.
The vegetarian-only menu focus is renowned locally, and people flock to The Prince George Brighton for the Sunday roast dinners. Many follow that up with the Sunday night pub quiz.
